Understanding Toddlers
Between roughly 15 months and 2.9 years old, toddlers are bursting with energy, curiosity, and the desire to explore everything around them. At Creative Care Montessori, our educators embrace this exciting stage by creating a program that supports each child’s individuality, emerging independence, and sense of discovery.
Communication, connection, and confidence are key to toddler development. That’s why we focus on language building and small-group learning environments that help children express themselves, focus better, and form strong relationships with both educators and peers.
Our small group settings also allow educators to give each child personalized attention, respond to their unique cues, and guide them through each new milestone with care and encouragement.
Your Toddler’s Day
Your toddler’s day begins with a cheerful welcome from their educators and friends. Throughout the day, our curriculum emphasizes essential areas of growth:
- Language Development – Expanding vocabulary through repetition, labeling, and meaningful conversations.
- Socialization – Learning to share, cooperate, and communicate with peers.
- Self-Help Skills – Encouraging independence through tasks like dressing, tidying, and feeding.
- Motor Development – Strengthening coordination and balance through hands-on activities.
Proprietary Programs
Our toddlers also enjoy proprietary programs that make learning fun and dynamic:
- Sign Language – Helping toddlers express their needs confidently.
- Kidco Yoga & Munchkinetics – Promoting movement, coordination, and mindfulness.
- French – Introducing new sounds and phonetic awareness.
- Nutrition Curriculum – Teaching the foundations of healthy eating and good food choices.
After a healthy lunch, toddlers enjoy a restful nap to recharge before an afternoon filled with play, outdoor activities, and new discoveries.
Nutrition
With all this exploring, toddlers work up quite an appetite! Our Kidco Kitchen provides a nutritious lunch and three daily snacks, including an extra snack around 5 p.m. to keep little tummies full until dinner.
Meals are served family-style, empowering children to serve themselves and build fine motor and self-help skills. All our menus are designed by a nutritionist, prepared by professional chefs, and approved by our toughest critics — the kids!
Each week’s menu features ethnically diverse, balanced meals, ensuring variety and excitement at every bite.
Communication With Parents
We believe that strong communication between educators and families helps children thrive.
The parents receive daily reports with updates on:
- Meals and nap times
- Activities and learning highlights
- Milestones and developmental progress
Parents can also view their children through secure classroom webcams, giving them peace of mind and a window into their child’s day.
