Understanding Preschool

At Creative Care Montessori, our Preschool program is designed for children between the ages of 2.9 – 6 years old. Preschoolers are curious, social, and ready to engage with the world around them. This stage is all about building confidence, communication, and a love of learning that prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond.

Our program focuses on structure and autonomy, emphasizing cognitive growth, language development, and problem-solving. Following our Emergent curriculum philosophy, educators observe children’s interests and create opportunities for hands-on exploration that spark creativity and curiosity.

Your Preschooler’s Day

The day begins with a warm welcome to the classroom, setting a positive tone for learning and connection.
Preschoolers participate in activities that promote:

Throughout the day, children engage in music, art, puzzles, number and letter recognition, storytelling, and imaginative play. Physical play and outdoor activities help balance their busy schedule and support gross motor development.

Proprietary Programs

Preschoolers also take part in seven of our unique, in-house programs, including:

Alpha-Mania for early literacy
Mini-Masters for creativity and art appreciation
Munchkinetics and Yoga for physical development
French and Sign Language for communication skills
Nutrition for healthy habits and food awareness

These programs combine movement, mindfulness, and imagination to create a well-rounded learning experience.

Nutrition

The Creative Care Montessori Kidco Kitchen provides healthy, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, including a late-afternoon snack around 5 PM.

Children dine family-style, learning to serve themselves, make food choices, and develop self-help skills. Our recipes are created by nutritionists, prepared by chefs, and approved by children — ensuring both taste and nutrition are top-notch.

Our menus are ethnically diverse and available for parents to view anytime.

Communication With Parents

We believe that strong communication between educators and families helps children thrive.
